The local cellular giant Ufone is repackaging its Uth Package, which was hitherto just another tariff plan on Ufone connections, into a stand alone brand called Uth Pack targeted squarely at…yes, the youth.
Uth Pack is joining long-established Djuice by Telenor and long-stumbling Glow by Warid in the youth cellular segment. Djuice is well regarded for its bold positioning around ‘speaking for your rights and against wrong’, and Glow is known for coming up with terrible ads all the time. For its part Uth Pack is touting a ‘not just a connection but a lifestyle’ mantra with several discount partnerships with eateries and retail brands.

The concept of the TVC isn’t bad – the execution , however, is not brilliant. I like the song.. but the visuals are weak, it’s ‘well shot; , but it takes too long to pick up – each shot is drawn out a few seconds longer than it needs to be , making the ad very slow. It needed much more energy!
That being said, I really like the new logo, it’s fresh and with the times. the old one was too 1990’s.
